What is the history of the gallery?
The famous Galerie Le Chien D'or, whose legend is part of Quebec's cultural heritage, has existed since the late 1970s, although the name dates back much further, to the beginning of the 20th century.
Since 2016, the gallery has served as both a creative studio and exhibition space for painter, owner, and artist agent Johanne Thomassin. She also represents several permanent artists there. The gallery also hosts guest artists and organizes events and exhibition openings throughout the year.
In a bright and harmonious setting, the gallery also offers a magnificent selection of artworks as well as gift ideas.

Is it possible to see a painting in my decor before buying?
Yes, we can create a photomontage for free. Please email us at galerielechiendor@gmail.com a photo of the wall from the front, ideally including its width.
What is the return policy?
All sales are final. We do not accept exchanges or refunds. Gift cards are also final sale.
When will I receive my order?
We will do our best to ship your order as quickly as possible. Generally, artworks are shipped within two weeks from La Galerie Le Chien D'or. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with additional information such as the tracking number. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
What are the shipping costs?
- Canada: Delivery is free with a purchase of over CAD 700 on paintings (*EXCLUDING SCULPTURES. Shipping costs are not included on sculptures; please contact us for shipping costs and to purchase a sculpture*). For painting orders under CAD 700, fees will be indicated at checkout before payment. In-store pickup is available.
- United States and Europe: Galerie Le Chien D'or pays half of the shipping costs for paintings. These are calculated based on the weight of your order. The fees displayed at checkout, before payment, represent the remaining customer portion. For sculptures, please contact us for shipping costs and purchase.
- Rest of the world: Please contact us at galerielechiendor@gmail.com or +1 418-694-9949 for shipping costs based on the artwork and your location.
**Delivery outside Canada: Import customs duties not included. There may be customs clearance fees upon receipt of the artwork. These fees are charged by the customer's country and are not the responsibility of the gallery.**
